Ethical standards and good practice
The Revista Científica de Historia - C.H.E (Historical Constructions by Students) is a university journal that covers studies carried out in the Humanities and Social Sciences, with special interest in History being addressed to teachers, students and scholars of the discipline. It publishes original research articles by national and foreign authors. The journal is interested in all areas of the aforementioned fields of study, is open to all currents of thought and does not discriminate between them. In order to carry out this work, the highest quality and ethical criteria are applied in the evaluation, selection, publication and dissemination of the works received. For this reason, Revista Científica de Historia -C.H.E (Historical Constructions by Students) follows a series of guidelines that imply responsibilities for each of the instances involved in the publication process.
Responsibilities of management and editorial board:
- The management and the editorial board of the journal are obliged to ensure the quality of the material published, making every effort to apply objective criteria and to exclude any kind of discrimination on grounds of race, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
- Both the management and the editorial committee that supports it must safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of the confidential information provided by the collaborators of the journal.
- Both the management and the committee are prohibited from using the unpublished material for personal, group or institutional benefit without the express consent and acceptance of the respective contributors.
- The management of the journal undertakes to publish corrections, clarifications, retractations and apologies if the situation warrants it.
- Both the management of the journal and the editorial committee that compose it, ensure the anonymity of the peer reviewers of the material received.
-It is the responsibility of the editorial team to report the results of the evaluation of the submissions in a timely manner.
Responsibilities of evaluators:
- The peer reviewers undertake to apply clear and objective criteria in their reviews, excluding any kind of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs of the authors.
- The evaluators undertake to treat the commissioned material as confidential. It is not possible to discuss or comment on the work with third parties during the evaluation period.
- Evaluators disqualify themselves at the slightest suspicion of a conflict of interest.
- The evaluators are prohibited from using the commissioned material during the evaluation, selection and publication process.
Responsibilities of authors:
- Authors or collaborators must guarantee the reliability of the data delivered together with its submission.
- Authors must guarantee the originality of the submitted material. This journal does not accept previously published works, whatever the format.
- Revista Científica de Historia -C.H.E (Historical Constructions by Students) strongly rejects any situation of plagiarism, be it partial or total. In this way, the author must ensure a correct recognition of the sources used through the form of citation required by the journal (see Editorial Guidelines).
- It is the sole responsibility of the authors to send their material in the format required by the journal (see Editorial Guidelines). The journal reserves the right to reject submissions solely for not complying with the rules of presentation.
