Abstract

This proposal is a reflection on the history of one of the many inter-Andean regions located in the Andean mountain range from a transnational perspective. It highlights the juxtaposition between the approaches of Transnational History, Global History and World History, and defends the choice of Transnational History as a framework for this research.

The aim of this work is to analyze the economic and cultural circulation in the intercordilleran valleys of the Andes region in the southern cone. The aim is to identify the mechanisms used by the colonizers to dominate the conquered territories and to understand the inter-Andean border as an area of independent contact with its own cultural burden.

Previous works and research on the history of the region are mentioned, and the importance of religion in maintaining culture and family relationships over the years is highlighted.

The aim is to provide an interesting insight into the history of the region from a transnational perspective, highlighting the importance of cultural contacts and mobility in the formation of the identity of the area.
