Abstract

In this essay, I take Elysium, a science fition fim, as a pretext to initiate a reflction on how apocalyptic fitions fimed in Nezahualcóyotl, state of Mexico, an outskirt of the city, play an important role in the political imaginaries and social ontologies of the inhabitants of these areas. I propose shifting towards other ways of thinking time and our affctions as forms of dislocation from capitalist realism.
